My one planned shoot today got cancelled so Chris and I had some free time to explore. My favorite store ever has to be the T2 Tea Store in Soho so I finally got to actually go in and explore. I want every single teapot they have but I did settle on one and I'm so excited to bring it home! Just in case anyone over the next 10 years doesn't know what to get me for birthdays and Christmas - T2 teacups and teapots, I love the Moroccan Collections. I also had been eyeing this delicious little crepe shop called Viva la Crepe (mainly because I miss my Dad's breakfast crepe's). So we stopped in there and got a crepe each. The way they fold them is really genius so you can eat them on the go. I got the dulce de leche with blackberries and Chris got the white chocolate with strawberries. Such a worthwhile eating experience.
Today was the NY Pride parade so the streets were full of rainbow flags, fabulous makeup and skimpy outfits. I didn't take very many pictures because we were so busy trying to find our way home with all of the road closures. You know when the native New Yorker's are saying traffic is bad then it is definitely bad. It was a little creepy seeing the NYPD bomb squad cars lining the streets. There was a cop at every street crossing and NYPD helicopters in the air. Not sure if there were threats or not but the streets were definitely well protected.

New York Day 24
Another move out day today! We had until noon to get packed up and get moved into our new location. We had some more Airbnb drama so we are staying in a different location than we originally booked. It's about a mile up from our last location. Thankfully we were able to get a cab to move instead of walking all the bags this time. Cabs have been one of my biggest surprises thus far on the journey, they are one of the few things that aren't nearly as expensive as I had expected and experienced on a past trip in California. Our cab only cost $10 to ride about 2 miles which just seemed cheap compared to how much work was involved lifting the bags and walking them to the last 2 locations.
The new space is very small compared to home but still a nice sized apartment for NY. We are now located between the Meatpacking District and Chelsea.
We explored the new area a bit and walked around the town. I didn't take a ton of photos but I got a couple cool building shots. We also visited a puppy store (everyone here has a dog) and fell in love with some puppies. Chris would literally die to have a husky.

New York Day 23
Today was our fourth move day! We moved about 5 blocks down deeper into Soho. The spot we are staying in beautiful and feels very homey. We are right nextdoor to the Crosby Hotel which is apparently famous for hosting celebrities. Our host at our loft told us that J-Lo and Blake Lively were spotted there this week. My favorite part of this space is the kitchen, I am obsessed. She has a Viking range and a Subzero refrigerator. Also unlike the other spots it has a teapot, toaster, microwave and oven. Basic essentials but half the places we have lived hasn't had any of them!
I did a shoot later in the evening in the new space but we were so tired from moving the bags again and need rest to do it again tomorrow!

New York Day 22
I shot a beautiful editorial today with a team I really enjoyed. It's the best recipe for success! We started about 10 and finished around 5 so it was a full day for sure.
The highlight of the day was getting to try some of the famous Dominique Ansel Bakery pastries. These were some of the most beautiful and delicious pastries I've tried! The bakery is famous for their cronuts (a cross between a doughnut and croissant), but we went too late and they were all out by 11AM. I sadly don't remember the names of each of these beauties we tried but one of my favorites was the key lime tart, which is the one with the raspberries on top.
